Free Activities All Year Round!!:
Rolling mountains, wildflowers, pristine air and magical snow gums surround the srchitecturally impressive village of Dinner Plain making it one of the most beautiful places to escape the summer heat and experience and alpine summer.
Take to Dinner Plains pump track to test out your mountain biking skills. Set up in the green season at the roundabout as you enter Dinner Plain.
Visit Dinner Plain tennis courts for a free hit. The courts have been refurbished, which now includes a basketball court.
Frisbee (Disc) Golf:
Dinner Plain is home to Australia's highest Disc Golf course. Just like golf, disc golf features nine tee offs and nine holes (baskets) and is an activity that visitors can use year round. Its a free activity for all participants. Simply pick up a set of discs including a tee off, fairway driver and putter and onto the course you go! The goal is to get your disc into the basket in the least amount of shots. Pick up discs from our office.

Flickerfest on Australia Day:
A free celebration of the best of Australian Short Film
We are excited to welcome the internationally renowned Flickerfest film festival to Dinner Plain on Australia Day 2017.
Grab your picnic blanket, some cheese and bikkies and a bottle of wine or a Blizzard brew and relax on the grass of the ski slope, under a starry sky among the snow gums.
When the sun goes down, the giant outdoor screen will light up with the 2017 winners of Flickerfest's Best of Australian Film.
This is a free event. What a way to celebrate the alpine summer on Australia Day!
Free Guided Bushwalking:
Free guided walks at Mt Hotham & surrounds over the 2016-17 green season.
Open from 30 December 2016 - 2 January from 2pm - 5pm.
Easter in the High Country
On Easter Sunday, a colourful exhibition of horsemanship and polo skills. Witness the High Country cattlemen of the 'Geebung' team take on the city slicker 'Cuff n Collar' team.
The event hosts a fun day out packed full with Live Music, Helicopter Rides & Easter Egg Drop, tug-o-war, food and wine stalls, fashions on the feild, face painting, jumping castle and much more for the entire family. Bring a picnic rug and a chair, back up the car, sit back & relax!
Dinner Plain brings you a lot more than the Geebung vs. Cuff & Collar Polo Match at Cobungra Station, but a host of Easter Activities. Celebrate with your friends & family by breathing in the crisp Alpine air, take in the sweeping vista views and relax in the pure High Country this Easter.
